Visiting a theme park with fun rides and plenty of other adventures is one of the common dreams among kids. The United Kingdom also has its own group of theme parks, just like the countries in the West. It would be a big treat for any kid of get a fun ride even if they might have to get sick and throw up later. The thrill alone is a good enough motivator for anyone, even the adults, to visit theme parks. While you might want to start with the tame tour around your neighbouring local parks or a known national park, you can easily progress to theme parks this time. As parents, you ought to let kids be kids. Being supportive would mean giving them what you think is an experience that can teach them something too. In the UK, it is quite easy to find parks, including theme parks. However, there are some parks that do standout from the rest. There are Legoland Windsor, Drayton Manor, Alton Towers, and Chessington World of Adventures.

Legoland Windsor

Visitors can enjoy 50 different rides in the park, such as a long roller coaster ride from the dungeon to an amazing Lego castle; the Dragon; Driving School, which teaches kids to drive and follow a realistic course complete with all the roundabouts, traffic lights and junctions; and Pirate Falls, which is a flume ride.

Drayton Manor

This is the largest theme park in the UK that is still managed by a family. It has some known rides such as Stormforce 10, the first ever reverse-chute adventure in the UK; Shockwave, the only stand-up roller coaster ride in the entire Europe; Pandemonium, a double inverted Aerial Park Zone; and Apocalypse, the first stand-up tower drop ride in the world. They also offer accommodation with their 72-room hotel.

Alton Towers

This is the most known theme parks in the country with the most daring and the biggest rides ever. However, they open only in spring and close up shop in the winter like any other theme parks in the country. Aside from their bold rides, they keep adding new ones and new attractions to keep the park interesting. For instance, they an interactive boat featured in Battle Galleons and Mutiny bay which allows you to have a Splash Battle.

Chessington World of Adventures

This is a theme park that does not have too many restrictions on families with kids that are below 12 years old. Most of the rides allow these young kids in them, such as the Peeking Heights, which features a 92ft Observation Wheel; Run Away Mine Train, a classic rollercoaster that goes through tunnels and rocky scenery; and Tomb Blaster, where kids need to shoot ghosts in haunted tombs with their laser gun.
